SUMMARY:Standardization in Robotics
DESCRIPTION:Robots are\never more present\, whether as humanoid information robots at airports\, as\nassistants in the production line or as walk supporters in the healthcare\ndomain. Thus\, meaningful standardization of robots is becoming more and more\nrelevant to all involved\, affected and interested entities. \n\n\n\nThis workshop\nwill focus on the manufacturing\, healthcare and consumer robotic domain.\nThrough different keynote speeches the audience will be inspired to later\nengage in a question and answer sessions with the speakers to discuss present\nissues in robot standardization. This will for example include a discussion on\nboundary issues between robotic domains/systems and a discussion on what should\nbe standardized and what not.  Furthermore\nsafety requirements for real open-ended autonomously generated behaviors of industrial robots will\nbe talked about as well as ethical aspects of brain-computer interfaces. \n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n\n\nStandardization of interactive robots for a better\nsociety \nSaskia Maresch (DIN) \n\n\n\nSafety standards for industrial robots today and\ntomorrow \nDr. Federico Vicentini\n(CNR) \n\n\n\nStandardization of mobile robots navigating in the\ncrowd in commercial environments \nDr. Jordi Pagès (PAL) \n\n\n\nMulti-impact robot standards framework\nDr. Eduard\nFosch-Villaronga (Leiden University) \n\n\n\nBrain-computer interfaces \nCésar\nAugusto Fontanillo López (Leiden University)
