INBOTS – Living with robots

December 9 @ 7:00 am 8:00 am UTC+2

The CSIC Delegation to the EU and the Brussels Cervantes Institute are presenting a documentary on robotics and society as part of the “The usefulness of science” series.

As part of the project financed by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme, Inclusive Robotics for a Better Society (INBOTS), the Institute of Philosophy of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is launching a documentary film which sets out the main challenges facing both users and developers.

The INBOTS project began in January 2018 and is coordinated by the Neuro-Rehabilitation Group of the Instituto Cajal of the CSIC. With the participation of 25 entities from 13 European countries, its objective is to favour the integration of interactive robots in Europe from a responsible research and innovation paradigm. To this end, it brings together the perspectives of specialists from different disciplines while establishing a dialogue with society.

Daniel López, from the Institute of Philosophy of the CSIC and Júlia Pareto, researcher at the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Computing (IRI), UPC-CSIC / Aporia Research Group, University of Barcelona.

The talk will be open to the public after the screening of the documentary.
