2020 EURA – International Winter School on “The Regulation of Robotics & AI in Europe: Legal, Ethical and Economic Implication”

Learn from some of the leading researchers in the field, – that regularly consult International, European, and National policy makers, including the OECD, World Economic Forum, European Parliament and Commission, and national governments–, the complex facets of technology regulation. Learn how to bring products to the market, understanding what rules apply to advanced technological products today. Learn how to assess and question the existing legal, economic and ethical frameworksdeveloping critical tools to undergo consultancy or policy making activities. 

A total of 40 academic hours of online, interactive teaching, no prior legal knowledge required

Certificate of Attendance for participants who have attended at least 90% of the classes, have passed the final examination and have paid the tuition fee

Objectives

  • Learn the essential AI and Robotics Regulation already existing today, relevant to help you bring products and applications to the market;
  • Gain a broad and deep understanding of some of the most relevant policy debates occurring today at European and International level in the fields of robotics and AI;
  • Acquire a highly interdisciplinary methodology – developed within the RoboLaw Project – to help understand existing trends, and develop a critical approach to technology regulation;
  • Deepen your understanding and knowledge of law and technology to pursue and refine your independent research and project activities;
  • Develop skills for policy making and consulting on such matters;
  • Become part of a network of researchers and professionals working in one of the most exciting and relevant fields of our times!

Target audience: (i) researchers; (ii) professionals; (iii) consultants, (iv) policy makers, (v) graduate students (Ph.d. and Master), (vi) university students who have completed their 4th out of 5 years of university training. 

Topics: Privacy (by design and by default), Certification and Standardization, Liability, Insurance and Risk Management, IP Law and Management, Ethical Implications and Assessment, Business Modelling and Innovation Management in High-Tech Markets, Industry 4.0 trends.
